iSolomon.com: The ultimate Jewish Site. Smart Site, Wise Choice.
From the Editor:
Welcome to iSolomon.com. The goal for this website is quite singular, to be the
one place on the internet where every Jew, or person interested in things
Jewish, is welcome.
Why iSolomon? Named for the most admirable king of the Jews, King Solomon the
son of King David. iSolomon.com is paying tribute to the wise and clever King
who ruled the nation with insight, astuteness, and good judgment. In the times
of King Solomon, Jews and non-Jews alike lived in peace, sharing in abundance
and kindness.
The most challenging part of fulfilling this mission has been to avoid
agendas, as only through such an approach, all can feel as if they have a voice
and a place. So what is iSolomon.com and what will you find here?
In our initial release, which is now online, we aim to bring you a
number of things:
- WiseChannels, full of in formation about Jewish Living, Jewish
Denominations, Who is a Jew discussions, Jewish Culture, Jewish History, and
Jewish Literature and opinion, Weekly Torah Portions, Jewish Humor, Jewish
Health, Jewish Travel, and much more.
- Wise Directories offers iSolomon.com visitors an array of Jewish Related
resources, including the best Jewish Celebrations Directory of vendors
providing goods and services for Jewish Weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, and all
other Jewish life celebrations.
- iSolomon.com's Kosher Restaurant Directory, Jewish Schools and Camps,
provides centrality and convenience where you may find all the information
you need for your Jewish life. iSolomon Guides are step-by-step instructions
aimed to assist visitors with life issues.
The Guides include suggestions
and tips for Celebrating Jewish rites of passage, a Wedding Guide, a Bar
Mitzvah Guide, as well as information about the Jewish Way of Mourning, on
how one is to conduct oneself in times of loss and grief. iSolomon.com,
true to its mission, attempts to bring as many view points, giving voice the
major streams in Judaism, the orthodox, conservative and reform movements.
- Stay tuned... much more to come.
What you see is merely a beginning. We are in the process of adding a great
deal more content, affiliating with rabbis from all the denominations of Judaism
to answer questions for members, offering additional lines of thought in terms
of Jewish theosophy and philosophy, and expanding the site to a point that it
has something to offer to anyone who is Jewish or has an interest in Judaism.
Your thoughts, suggestions, and ideas are welcome, in fact essential. After
all, this site was created for you.
Sincerely,
Sarah R. Mazor
